Robert F "Bob" Bailey Sr., age 71, of Ocean View passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2011. Born in Wildwood, he has been a lifelong Cape May area resident. Robert was a self employed carpenter and specialized in historical restorations. He was a graduate of Wildwood High School and served his country as a diver in the US Navy - participating in the Bay of Pigs Operation. Robert enjoyed the beach and was a life guard for several summers in Wildwood. He was a "Happy Go Lucky" guy that enjoyed making everything an adventure with his grandchildren. Robert was a caring and compassionate father, grandfather, and good friend. He is survived by his son Robert Bailey Jr. of Austin, TX and his three grandchildren: Justin, Kevin, and Emily. Funeral services will be private.
