Eddie Pelletier, age 80, of North Cape May passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Eagle Lake, ME and formerly of Brunswick, ME; he has been a Cape May area resident since 1989. Eddie served his country in the US Marines during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He retired after 25 years of service in the Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant. Eddie earned an Associate of Arts degree from Pensacola Junior College in Florida, and a Bachelor of Science degree from New Hampshire College. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Veronica (nee McGinnis) Pelletier in June of 2008. Eddie is survived by: his son Keith (Tamy) Pelletier and their children Benjamin, Ryan, & Zoey of Yorktown, VA; his daughter Rebecca Gallagher and her children Lauren & Liam of Clinton, MA; his brother Philip; and his sister June. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Parish of St John Neumann at St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
