Arthur M "Art" Hucklebridge, age 85, of Villas passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Granite City, IL and formerly of Bessemer, AL; Philadelphia, PA; and Green Creek, NJ; he has been a Cape May area resident since 1952. Art was the founder and owner/operator of Art's Auto Service in Green Creek. He served his country in the US Navy during World War II. Art's favorite pastime was riding his John Deere lawn mower. He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine in 1995. Art is survived by his four children: Judy (Ken) Koehly of River Run, NC; Jim (Carol) Hucklebridge of Del Haven, NJ; Dan (Chris) Hucklebridge of Rio Grande, NJ; and Donna (Ted) Peters of Villas, NJ; his grandchildren: Chris Koehly, Kathy Colburn, Nikki John, Amy Shute, Greg Hucklebridge, Zach Thraen, & Kevin Peters. Also surviving are 12 great grandchildren and his cherished longtime companion Dot Donohue. The family would like to say thank you for the caring support of the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Burleigh Renal Care Group. It was greatly appreciated. There will be a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
