Gerald Hermley, age 91, of Rio Grande passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 with his daughter by his side at her home. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of that city, he has been a Cape May area resident since 1994. Gerald worked at the Universal Grinding Wheel Company in Philadelphia, PA. He enjoyed fishing and walking his dog "QB" at the Ferry Terminal and Douglas Park where he met with friends to chat. Gerald was married to Rose (nee Kitz) Hermley for 65 wonderful years until she passed away in 2002. He is survived by his daughter Diana Witham of Rio Grande; his grandson David Witham; 5 great grandchildren: David, Matthew, Mary Grace, Samuel, and Mark; and one great-great granddaughter Evie Renie Donner (his pride & joy). He was preceded in death by his grandson Edward Witham. Services will be private.
