Margaret L. Spencer, 71, of N. Cape May passed away on Friday April 8, 2011 at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and also live in Camden for many years before moving to the Cape May area in the late 1960's. Margaret graduated from college with a Bachelor Degree in Education and taught high school in Philadelphia for many years. She worked 25 years for the Office of Aging in Middle and Lower Twp, and was the head of the Dept. for many years. Margaret is survived by a loving daughter-in-law Carrie Twombly Dickinson and her husband Kenneth Dickinson of Cape May Court House and two step sons Peter Imler of South Dennis and Joseph Imler of Scarborough , ME; five grandchildren, Caroline Twombly, Kenneth Dickinson, Michael Imler, Ashley Imler, and Joe Imler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Imler (Oct. 2010); a son, Ben Twombley; a sister Ruthanne Blew and brother James Spencer. Funeral Services will be held 11am on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May, N.J. where friends may call from 10 am until the time of services. Burial will follow at the Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring, N.J. Contributions in Margaret's memory to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund, PO Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260.
