Drenda J Bland, age 54, of Woodbine passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011 after a brief illness at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Clarksburg, WV and formerly of that city; she has been a Cape May County resident since 1975. Drenda was employed by Marshalls in Cape May Court House, the WAWA in Cape May Court House, and the Cape May County Surrogate Office in Cape May Court House. She was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Drenda is survived by her husband of 37 years Thomas Bland of Woodbine, NJ; two sons: Thomas (Shelby) Bland of Lynchburg, VA & Eric (Susan) Bland of Dennisville, NJ; and seven grandchildren: Destiny, Joseph, Thomas, Ruth, Charles, Stephanie, & John. Also surviving are her parents: Phyllis & Rex Randolph of Bristol, WV; two sisters: Suzette (Hubert) Modispaugh of Grass Run, WV & Pamela (Ray) Mabry of Hopkinsville, KY; and one brother Randall (Diana) Randolph of Bristol, WV. She was preceded in death by her brother Ian Randolph. Funeral services will be private and at a later date in West Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Drenda's memory to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund, PO Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260.
