Obituary of Martha L Hassey

Martha L Hassey, age 80, of Cape May went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of the Kensington Section of that city, she has been a Cape May resident for over 35 years. Martha was a cook for various restaurants through out the Cape May area, last employed with Mel's Restaurant. She was an avid bingo player, and a member of the Victorian Towers Groupies and Card Club. Martha was preceded in death by her husband Clifford S Hassey in 1979 and her son Clifford "Buddy" Hassey in 1995. She is survived by: her daughter Arlene Crescitelli of Willis, TX; her daughter Pat Hassey of Villas; her daughter Margie Crompton of Villas; her niece Lynda; and nephews Jack & Earl. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Heather (Myron) Hunter, Kristin Hassey, John Crescitelli, & Michael Crescitelli; her great grandchildren: Brian, Kristofer, & Avery; her dear friend Madeline; and her cat Angel. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM on Friday, March 11, 2011 at Our Lady Star of the Sea, Washington St, Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Interment will be private.
