Eugene "Jim" D Marcucci, age 86, of Villas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the North Cape Center. Born in South Philadelphia on March 6, 1924 and formerly of that city; he has been a Cape May area resident for 13 years. Jim served his country in the US Army 559th AAA(AW)BN during World War II, and was a maintenance worker for the Philadelphia General Hospital for 15 years. He was a proud 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus and was a member of the Sons of Italy in Wildwood. Jim enjoyed horse racing and playing cards - especially poker and pinochle. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret in 1998. Jim is survived by: his son Louis (Jean) Marcucci of Villas; three grandchildren: Louis Jr, James, & Heather; his brothers: Nicholas & Andrew; and his sister Marie Raymond. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Rd, Yeadon, PA. The family suggests donations in Jim's memory to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Rd, Absecon, NJ 08201.
