Robert E Haentze, age 73, of Cape May passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the North Cape Center. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of Cherry Hill, he has been a Cape May area resident since 2000. Robert was a graduate of Germantown High School and LaSalle University. He worked for RCA and was Vice President of Human Resources for Philadelphia Saving Fund Society. Robert enjoyed fishing; boating; the beach; and he loved spending time with his children, grandsons, and nieces: Jennifer & Tracy. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, June, (on April 1st); sons: Robert (Anne) of Richmond, VA; David (Chris) of Egg Harbor Twp; and his loving daughter Linda of Cape May. Also surviving are his grandsons: David & Robert; brother Richard of Pennsauken; nieces: Jennifer (Derek) Shaw & Tracy (Adam) Romaro; cousins: Fred & Jane Haentze; and Ken & Linda Aukette. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 7, 2011 at the Evoy Funeral Homes, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Private interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. The family suggests donations in Robert's memory to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, NJ Chapter, www.hdsanj.org.
