Obituary of Mabel C Elliott

Mabel C Elliott (nee Gittle), age 85, of Erma passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the North Cape Center. Born in North Wildwood, she has been a lifetime resident of Cape May County. Mabel was a 1943 graduate of Wildwood High School and in her early years worked for the Gittle's Candy Company, later becoming a part owner. She was a member of the Cape May County Historical Society, the American Legion Auxiliary, and AARP. Mabel enjoyed travel and good restaurants (being an excellent cook in her own right). She was preceded in death by her brothers: Louis, Kenneth, & George Gittle; and her sister Ida Peele. Mabel is survived by: her husband of 45 years Stanley Elliott; her sister Lillian Holtz; and many nieces & nephews. At Mabel's request there will be no viewing, graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Cold Spring Cemetery.
