Obituary of Herbert M Sheppard

Herbert M Sheppard, age 98, of Goshen passed away peacefully on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the North Cape Center. Born in Dividing Creek, NJ and lived many years in Town Bank where he raised his family; before moving to his farm in Goshen in 1963. Herbert was a master mechanic and welder at the North West Magnesite Co. of Cape May, retiring in 1975. He enjoyed farming, horse back riding, and living on his farm. Herbert was preceded in death by his wife Agnes M Sheppard in 1992; his son Herbert S Sheppard in 2008; and 11 brothers & sisters. Surviving are his son Robert (Peggy) Sheppard of Fishing Creek, NJ; Joseph (Cordelia) Sheppard of Douglasville, GA; 4 grandchildren: Rob Sheppard, Sherri Boyle, Amanda Smith, & Kriste Millington; and 11 great grandchildren. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ.
