This is to the cousin, I met only once when we were very young kids. Of this meeting very little is remembered, but from reading through these memorials, I only wish I could have met this cousin during our adult life, as I feel as though I missed meeting a very special person with a very special heart. May you rest in peace, and I offer my condolences to your family on their loss.

Well I never thought 33 years ago, when I first met Rick, that he would not only be my friend, but eventually my brother-in-law, and Uncle to my children. I have fond memories of the "party days", motorcycle rides, Christmas's and other holidays past. The most meaningful memories to me however, are those most recent, with this holiday season. Thanks for the love and time you shared not only with me, but especially with Roland, Jackie, Alethea, and Roland James. We all miss you.

Ricky was a good neighbor and family friend ever since I can remember. I thought of him as another brother. He took care of any critter that needed it. I remember seeing Ricky and all his friends sitting around the picnic table in his yard - he loved spending time with his friends. I thank God that I could tell Ricky I love him; and he could tell me that he made his piece with God before he left us behind. We will miss you, Ricky, but you are in good company now.

Well Big Man I most of all want to say I miss you very much! I also want to thank you for being such a great uncle and friend to me and most of all to Roland. You've given him some of the best days to remember. You were such a kind hearted man and you never passed judgement. You took everyone for who they were and looked for the best in people. You will always be in my thoughts and missed so very much. I love You Uncle Rick! ~Rhi~

Uncle Rick,
I will always miss you and my long naps on the couch with my furry cousins. I will always remember; all of the good scraps and wonderful belly rubs, hanging in the garage with the boys and "visiting our friends". Even when Mommy and Daddy would say NO, Uncle Rick always said YES! I'll never forget you. Your favorite puppy, "killer".

Uncle Rick,
I will always remember you and the great times we had together. You have taught me so much and I will never forget it. We only had a few short years together, but they were some of the best in my life. You were a caring, loving, man of honor; true to your family and friends until the day you left us. You have many who care and love you and are very lucky for it. It means a lot. "Bester Freund Und Bruder Fur Immer!" I will never forget you and you are always in my heart. Nephew: "Little Roland"

My memorie are'nt that long with Rick but my thoughts are vast. As big as Rick was, he had such a soft spot for kittens and cats. He kept checking to see how I was with a kitten he gave me so many years ago. His quick sence of humor always took me by surprise. I believed he loved deeply and showed it to all the right people. Thanks Rick for letting me be your friend. Love, Terry

My first memories of my Uncle Rick were of a massive, bearded man who was terribly intimidating. As I grew older he warmed up to me as a kid and I soon learned his great sense of humor. He was always up for suggesting a good prank and had a lot of great stories of which I will never forget. Here's to wishing him Godspeed.

I knew Rick my whole life our Dads were Holly Beach firemen together so we were a family outside our families. Rick was just a good guy and I am happy to have know him for all these years. It is hard to remember just one memory. So I will just say he will be missed as I would miss a member of my family. Forever in our memories.

Rick will always be remembered for his kind and gentle ways. A man of simple pleasures, he was quiet and reserved, but kept his friends and family close to his heart. He loved animals, would feed the squirrels, and take care of strays. He worked as a commercial fisherman and plumber, before taking a job with the City of Wildwood. He always praised his coworkers for the support, concern, and help they gave him, when suffering a non job related accident and he was proud to be part of the community of his hometown. I will miss him and the time we spent together. I have nothing but good memories and I am happy to have been part of his life. Brother Roland
