Obituary of Ronald J Chambers

Ronald J Chambers, age 72, of North Cape May passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he was a life long Cape May area resident. He attended Our Lady Star of the Sea School, Wildwood Catholic High School, and was a graduate of Cape May High School in 1959. Ron worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia before being employed by the City of Cape May as a fireman and in the city's maintenance department. He attended the Parish of St John Neumann at St John of God RC Church, was a member of the Knights of Columbus St Mary's Council #6202 in Cape May, and was a Cape May volunteer fireman. Ron is survived by: his sisters Cecilia Souder & Peggy (Robert) Sheppard; his brother George "Skip" Chambers; 4 nephews; 2 nieces; and several extended family members. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
