John "Jerry" Mueller, (9/5/1942-2/9/2012) of North Cape May
Jerry was a 1960 graduate of Father Judge High School in Philadelphia, a 1964 graduate of West Chester State College, majoring in Mathematics. He earned his Masters from Glassboro State College. He was the chair of the Math Department at Wildwood High School for twenty years. Jerry organized and hosted the Academic Knowledge Bowl on local TV for several years for the local junior high students. He also worked as a realtor for Calloway Realty for many years.
In the community, he served on both the Lower Township Elementary School Board and the Lower Cape May Regional School Board for a combined 12 years. He was the Secretary of the local Little League and a coach for several years, and the treasurer of the Cape May County Duplicate Bridge Club for many years. He was a Eucharistic Minister for over 25 years, coordinator of the CCD program and served as acting President of the First Parish Council of St. John of God's Church. He was member of the Knights of Columbus, Jerry loved to play bridge, go on cruises, read history and murder mysteries, walk on the beach with his chocolate lab, Hershey, and most importantly play with his grandchildren.
Jerry is predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Julia Mueller, and his brother Michael. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Anne (nee Discepola), four children, Stephen, Elizabeth Sinnerard (William), Jennifer Cannon, and Gregory, and four grandchildren, Anne, Joseph and Jacob Sinnerard, and Andrew Cannon.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 4-7pm at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am on Tuesday at St. John Neumann Parish at St. John of God Church , 680 Townbank Road, North Cape May. Interment will follow mass at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cold Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Father Judge High School, 3300 Solly Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19136.
