Edward A Roop, age 57, of Villas passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2010. Born in Sea Isle City, he was a life long resident of the Cape May area. Edward was a member of the Cape May VFW, loved fishing, riding his Harley, playing music on his drums, and was an avid Steelers fan. He worked for the Bill Horgan Painting Company. Edward is survived by his son Jake Roop of Eldora; daughter Jennifer Chiarle of Stafford Springs, CT; granddaughter Kathryn Rose Chiarle; brother Wayne (Jane) Roop of Lower Township, NJ; three sisters: Dawn (Bruce) Andrus of Lower Township, Carol (John) Meehan of Lower Township, and Meg Huf of FL; and nieces, nephews, and many friends that will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his brother Larry. There will be a memorial service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ; where friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Interment will be private. The family suggests donations in Edward's memory to a charity your choosing.
