Obituary of Nancy H Bailey

Nancy H Bailey, age 85, of North Cape May passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Crest Haven Nursing Home. She was born and raised in the Cape May area; and a graduate of Cape May High School where she was an outstanding athlete (especially court basketball). Nancy was a secretary for the Board of Education of Lower Township Elementary Schools for many years. She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Nancy enjoyed cooking for her family and her hobby was writing poetry for her family and friends; having several poems published in Readers Digest. She is survived by her son Donald L (Bud) & (Karen) Bailey Jr. of Wallingford, PA; and her daughter Donna Lee Kelly of Rio Grande. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a brother Charles W Hickman of Erma, NJ. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Donald L Bailey Sr. this past September 5th; her great granddaughter Lauren Elizabeth Kelly; one brother; and five sisters. There will be a funeral service at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ; where friends may call from 10:00 to 10:30 AM. Interment will follow the service at Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ.
