Edward M Roan, 86, of Villas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he summered here since the 1950's and has been a Cape May area resident since 1980. Ed served his country in the US Navy during World War II; was a custodial engineer for the Philadelphia School District; and was a member of St Raymond's RC Church in Villas. Ed was preceded in death by his wife Lydia in 2003. He is survived by his daughter Linda Carlsen of Villas. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Parish of St John Neumann at St Raymond's RC Church, Bayshore & Ocean , Villas, NJ. Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Monday at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bauyshore Rd, North Cape May. Interment will follow the services at St Mary's Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ.
