Alberta "June" Miller (nee Sereno), 90, of Villas passed away peacefully on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Crest Haven Nursing Home. Born in Philadelphia, she has been a Cape May area resident for 60 years. Alberta worked for the Cape May/Lewes Ferry for 20 years; served as president of the Lower Twp Rescue Squad Auxillary; and was a member of St Raymond's RC Church in Villas. She is survived by her sons: George Miller (Luann - deceased) of PA; John Miller (Ruth) of CA; Bill Miller of Del Haven, NJ; Bob Miller (Maria) of Villas, NJ; and daughter Geri Alexander of Erma, NJ. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at St Mary's Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. The family suggests donations in Alberta's memory to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Rd, Absecon, NJ 08201.
