James Patrick Owens, 85, of Shawcrest section of Lower Township passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Loyalton Care Center. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of Delaware County, he has been a Cape May area resident for 30 years. James is the retired owner/operator of Harry B Levis, Inc Printing & Stationary of Philadelphia. He served his country in the US Navy in the African Campaign during World War II. James is survived by his wife of 59 years Virginia (Everly) Owens and his 2 daughters: Virginia (Tom) Francione of Villas and Deborah (Bill) Carr of Erma. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Nicole, Jimmy, Jacqleen, Jessica, Jennifer, & Veronica; and 4 great grandchildren: Eric, Lilie, Andrew, & Preston. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Our Lady of the Angels RC Church, Mechanic St, Cape May Court House, NJ: where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Internment will be private. The family suggests donations in James' memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 3 Eves Dr, Suite 310, Marlton, NJ 08053.
