Francis J O'Neill, age 76, of Townbank passed away on Monday, June 28, 2010 at his home. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of NE Philadelphia, he has been a Cape May area resident since 1988. Francis graduated from North Catholic High in Philadelphia. He was an installer for Bell Atlantic and after retirement worked in the local Acme Markets. Francis was a member of St John of God RC Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary in 2007. Francis is survived by his son Francis; and his sister Joan Kelly of Croyden, PA. Also surviving are three stepsons: John (Elisa) McGovern of Pittsgrove, Joseph (Cheril) McGovern of Villas, and Thomas (Shannon) McGovern of Town Bank; three grandchildren; and 11 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; nieces Joan M Kelly & Patricia Kelly; and nephews William & Francis Kelly. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at St Mary's Cemetery, 1056 Seashore Rd, Cape May. The family suggests contributions in Francis' memory to the American Cancer Society, 626 N Shore Rd, Absecon, NJ 08201.
