Marie E Pflaumer, age 83, of Townbank passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at her home. Born in Camden, NJ, and formerly of Barrington, NJ; she has been a Cape May area resident for 29 years. She and her husband summered here for many years. Marie was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School of Camden; was a bookkeeper at Cooper Hospital; and a member of St John of God RC Church where she belonged to the Altar & Rosary Society, and volunteered at Wednesday afternoon Bingo. She is survived by her daughter Joann Linger of Townbank; 2 grandchildren: Jeffery & Carrie; and one great grandchild: Gabriela. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Charles H Pflaumer in 1998, and three brothers. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at St Mary's Cemetery, 1056 Seashore Rd, Cape May. The family suggests donations in Marie's memory to Father Flanagen Boy's Home, 13940 Gutowski Rd, Boys Town, NE 69010.
