Obituary of Ann M Coffey

Ann M Coffey (nee McMahon), age 84, of Palermo, NJ passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Cape Regional Medical Center. She was born December 1, 1925 in Philadelphia to John & Maryann (Golden) McMahon. The youngest of nine children, Ann adored her sisters Marie, Alice, Cecelia, and brothers Jack, Charles, Thomas, Leo, and Vincent. She married her beloved husband of 67 years, William E Coffey, Sr. on August 22, 1942. Ann and her husband relocated to Delaware County, PA (Folcroft & Glenolden) in 1955; where they raised their family. She has been a Cape May area resident for 30 years. Ann's family was blessed to have been generously gifted with many fond memories. She will be forever cherished as a beautiful, loving, and proud Mother and Grandmother. Ann was loved dearly and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by two sons: Robert in 2001 and William E Jr. in 2009. In addition to her husband Bill; Ann is survived by: son John (Susan) Coffey of Lewes, DE; daughter Diane (David) Eckard of Wallingford, PA; and daughter Susan Fletcher of North Cape May, NJ. Also surviving are her 12 grandchildren: William, John, Tara, Erin, Diane, Robert, Ryan, Kimberly, Kristin, David, Stephen, & Eric; along with 8 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Eileen; sister-in-law Helen Miller; and many much loved nieces & nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May: where friends may call from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.
