Virginia R McKenna, age 90, of North Cape May passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Victoria Commons. Born in Trenton, she lived most of her life in the Cape May area. Virginia was a very beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and trips to the casinos. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband William and her sons William & Dennis. She is survived by her children: Patricia Plum of Sarasota, FL; Dorothy Doonan of Wildwood Crest; Virginia Tirri of North Cape May; and Daniel McKenna of Corbin City, NJ. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at St Mary's Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. The family suggests donations in Virginia's memory to the Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1801 Route 9, Swainton, NJ 08210.
