John K Boyd, age 80, of North Cape May passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of that city, he has been a Cape May area resident for 25 years. He served his country in the US Navy. John was a member of the VFW Charles Lewis Post 5343 of Villas, the Villas Fishing Club, and the Elks Club. He is survived by Ellen, his wife of 57 years; his son & daughter-in-law, Robert & Dina; and sons John & Michael. John is also survived by three grandchildren: Michael, Christine, and Matthew. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May. Friends will be received from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May. The family suggests contributions in John's memory to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Rd, Absecon, NJ 08201.
