Walter J Woern of Philadelphia & Villas, NJ. Beloved husband of Delores (Dollie)(nee Janowicz); brother of the late Henry J & Robert G Woern. Loving father of Delores Sarno (Tony), Joyce Diebel (Charles), and Walter Jr; adoring grandfather of Anthony & Gabrielle Sarno; Courtney & Lyndsey Diebel; and Sydney Woern. Walt was a WWII veteran who served with the 84th Division, 334 Inf.; a Sunday school teacher for All Saints Parish; and a dedicated girls soccer & softball coach for Torresdale Boys Club for many years. He was a teacher of fishing who passed along his knowledge and skills to his grandchildren. Walt was a dedicated dance partner of Dollie's for 53 years. He and Dollie enjoyed their mutual love of dancing, the shore, and love of animals with their children and grandkids. Funeral services 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Seashore Church of Nazerene, 446 Seashore Rd, Erma, NJ where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Interment private.
