Obituary of Otto William Wickward

Otto W Wickward, age 81, of Ocean View, Dennis Township, passed away April 8, 2010 at Crest Haven Nursing Center, Cape May Court House. Born in Philadelphia, he was raised in North Wildwood and attended the local schools. Otto served his country in the US Navy from 1945 -1948. In 1950 he entered the US Army and retired after 25 years of military service in 1972. He served in combat in Korea and dual tours in Vietnam. Otto was awarded a Purple Heart Medal twice for wounds received in combat. After retirement from military service, he was employed as a Correction Officer at Cape May County Correction Facility, retiring in 1993. Otto was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and a sister. He is survived by a brother. Otto surely would thank the staff of Court House Convalescent Center and the Crest Haven Nursing Center (North Wing) for their kind and considerate care during his stay. Services and burial at the Cold Spring Cemetery in Cold Spring, NJ were private.
