Michael E Burket, age 55, of Rio Grande passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at his home. Born in Blair County, PA, and formerly of Kansas and Colorado, he has lived in this area since 1995. Michael was a teacher at the Cape Christian Academy in Cape May Court House. He was a member of the Celebration Church. Michael enjoyed helping the youth of this area and was the founder of the youth program called "Alternate Destination". He is survived by two brothers: Stephen Burket and David Burket; and one sister: Robyn Henise. There will be a memorial service at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, Aril 6, 2010 at the Cape Island Baptist Church, Columbia Ave, Cape May, NJ. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in Michael's memory may be made to the Cape Christian Academy, Michael E Burket scholarship fund, 10 Oyster Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
