George (Ted) Dickinson, 74, of Cold Spring went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 2, 2010. He was an avid sportsman at Cape May High School, class of 1954. George was a self-employed electrician serving the Cape May County area for 45 years. He was a life-long member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Mr. Dickinson was predeceased by his father William Dickinson and his daughter Diane Dickinson-Herbst. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Rosemarie (nee Feller) Dickinson; his mother Clara Dickinson; and four brothers: William (Joan) Dickinson of Lewes, DE, Robert Dickinson of Lower Township, Albert Dickinson of Ocala, FL, and Richard (Jean) Dickinson of Center Valley, PA. Also surviving are daughters: Debra (Ralph) Schellinger of Cape May Court House, Dawn (Michael) Hinker of Lower Township; sons: David Dickinson of Lower Township, Daniel (Lisa) Dickinson of Alexandria, VA; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 9, 2010 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 702 Seashore Rd, Erma; where friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at Tabernacle United Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to the Tabernacle United Methodist Church or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 5845 Richmond Highway, Suite 800, Alexandria, VA 22303.
