Peggy Hand, age 74, of Cape May passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Pennsylvania, she lived most of her life in the Cape May area. She formerly worked as a unit clerk at Burdette Tomlin Hospital for many years and a long time member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Peggy is survived by her son Scott (Donna) Hand of Cape May, her daughter Diana (Terry) Melhorn of Cape May, and her sister Betsi Salter of Bridgeton, NJ. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Jennifer Freeman, Brian Freeman, Barbara Stahlman, Deborah Derk, Tiffany Hand, Kevin White, and Christopher White. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward S Hand in 2009. There will be a grave side service at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Cold Spring Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ. Donations in Peggy's memory may be made to the Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 656 Seashore Rd, Erma, NJ 08204.
