Julia Irene Galey (Murphy), 85 died Monday March 15th, 2010 at the Court House Convalescent Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. Mrs. Galey was born July 20, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA and grew up with three brothers and six sisters.
She is predeceased by her husband Tom Murphy (1999), husband Wayne Galey (2004) and son Michael Murphy (2006). She is survived by children, Virginia, Kathleen, Thomas, Gerard, Bernadette, Jane and Patrick as well as 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Irene as she was known to family and friends, lived the first 35 years of her life in Philadelphia before moving to New Jersey and then to Illinois, In 1971 she returned to New Jersey before retiring to Florida in 1987.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 11:00 am at Our Lady Of The Angels Church, 35 Mechanic Street , Cape May Court House. Friends may call Wednesday from 10-11am at Our Lady Of The Angels Church. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Donations can be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America. www.alzfdn.org
