God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered "come with me."
With tearful eyes we watched you,and saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly,we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
Boy, do I miss my Dad. I always said that I lost him 3 yrs. ago when his Alzheimers got bad, then I got used to the different man I called Dad and know I miss them both.
Forever in my heart & mind.
Your #1 daughter Lisa

Daddy,
Thank you for all that you have done for us, neighbors and friends. You were always teaching us right from wrong and there when we needed you. You stood up for what you believed was right and took care of those in need.
You taught us to love music and keep a song in ours hearts. Last week when I spoke with you for the last time you answered the phone singing "jingle bells." You taught us to enjoy ice cream at 9pm and slide in stocking feet across the kitchen floor to dish it out.
As Alzheimers slowly took you away from us we watched Mom become so loving and full of strength as each day became more of a struggle to keep you at home.
We thank God that your parting was peaceful. We are forever grateful. Rest peacefully.
Love, Linda

Grandpop,
This was a poem that I found, and I thought of you. Even though you are gone, you will never be forgotten. Your legacy lives on through the lives that you have touched. I feel so blessed that I had a grandfather like you in my life. We will love you always and forever!
To Those I Love
To those whom I love and those who loved me
When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have. so many things to see and do.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears
Be thankful we had so many good years.
I gave you my love, and you can only guess
How much you've given me in happiness.
I thank you for the love that you have shown, But now it is time I traveled alone.
So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must,
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It is only for a while that we must part,
So treasure thememories within your heart.
I won't be far awary for life goes on,
And if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near.
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear,
All my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home".
