Obituary of Stephen Noel McCarthy

OBITUARY Stephen Noel McCarthy, 72, of Cape May Court House, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. He was a proud Irishman, a loving father and grandfather, and a caring husband. He was born in County Galway, Ireland in 1940, and raised in New York City by his mother and father, Dennis and Julia McCarthy. He moved to Cape May County in 1981. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1959-62. His love for all things from nature was only exceeded by his love for his grandchildren. He was happiest when he was sharing his love of nature with them. He is survived by Elizabeth McCarthy, his loving wife of 44 years. He is also survived by his children, Ann Marie McCarthy Skerry (Paul) of Cape May Court House, Michael McCarthy (Raelene) of Jeffersonville, PA and Coleen McCarthy Himstedt (Kurt) of Cape May Court House, and by his grandchildren, Kurt Ryan and Sean Himstedt and Declan and Cassidy McCarthy, and his faithful dog, Lucky. Pop-Pop, we will miss you! Memorial Service will be held graveside at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 14, 2013.
