William J Kennedy, age 94, of North Cape May passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the North Cape Center. Born in New York City, he has been an area resident since the age of three. William was a self employed TV repairman in North Wildwood and ham radio operator. He served his country in the US Navy during World War II. William was a member of the Wildwood American Legion; the Wildwood VFW; the Angelsea Moose Club; the Masonic Temple of Wildwood Crest; and a charter member of the Wildwood Elks Club. He is survived by his son Kendul (Ruth) Kennedy of Erma; his granddaughter Kristina (Michael) Dietrich of Cherry Hill, NJ; and his three great granddaughters Michaela, Carly, and Allison Dietrich. William was preceded in death by his wife Dulcie Kennedy, and his brothers Patrick & Edward Kennedy. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at Cold Spring Cemetery.
