Thomas S Clendining, age 88, of North Cape May passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Woodbury, he resided in Richwood most of his life before moving to North Cape May 20 years ago. Thomas served his country in the US Navy on the repair ship Vulcan during World War II. He was an electrical project designer and retired from the Philadelphia Electric Company. Thomas was a lifetime member of the Mullica Hill Grange and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Audobon. He is survived by: his wife of 68 years Marian W Clendining; three daughters: Marian M (Fred) Whitley of Akron, PA; Lois R (Morant) Hassler of Alloway, NJ; and Janet A (John) Herman of North Cape May, NJ. Also surviving are her sister Virginia (Al) Schenkel of Richwood, NJ; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held privately.
