H. Alma (nee Kephart) Halligan, age 87, of Villas passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at home with her family by her side. Alma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed spending summers with her grandchildren, watching old movies, vintage war planes, quiet times at the ferry canal park, and was a dedicated fan of the Flyers. One of the four Kephart sisters, Alma was born on January 10, 1923 in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, where she resided until moving to the shore in 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Hugh, and her sister Mary Booker. Alma is survived by her sisters: M. Ruth Davis and Patricia Steelman. Also surviving are her children: Hugh (Linda), John (Kathleen), Patricia (Wayne) Rodabaugh, Thomas, Mary Ellen (John) Lombardelli; her grandchildren: Linda, John, Erin, Ryan, Mary Anna, Laura, Johnny; great granddaughter Aine; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at St Raymond's RC Church, Bayshore & Ocean Ave, Villas, NJ. Friends and relatives may call at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA will follow at approximately 2:30 PM.
