Thomas D Quirk Jr., age 71, of Villas passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Crest Haven Nursing Home in Cape May Court House. Formerly of South Philadelphia & Havertown, PA; he has been a Cape May area resident since 2007. Thomas was a plumber and a member of Local 690 for 47 years; a member of St Raymond's RC Church; and a member of the Villas fishing club. He is survived by his loving wife Joyce of Villas; his son Thomas (Rosalyn) Quirk of Havertown, PA; his daughter Alicia Quirk of Havertown, PA; and his son Patrick (Lenlei) Quirk of Millsboro, DE. Thomas is also survived his four step children: Susan (Robert) Bailey of Erma; Daniel (Gail) Dougherty of Mantua, NJ; Donald (Jania) Dougherty of Sewell, NJ; and Dennis (Karen) Dougherty of Philadelphia. Also surviving are his sister Kathleen (Fred) Stadel of Somerdale, NJ; his brother William Quirk of TN; his niece Kathryn West; his niece Marianne Stadel; 5 grandchildren; and 8 step grandchildren. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:30 AM on Monday, December 28, 2009 at St Raymond's RC Church, Bayshore & Ocean Ave, Villas, NJ. Friends will be received at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Donations may be made in Thomas' memory to the NJ American Parkinsons Disease Association, PO Box 214, Elizabeth, NJ 07207.
