It is with much sadness the family of Douglass Andrew Haggerty Sr, announces his sudden and unexpected passing on September 20, 2024 in his home in Rio Grande.
He was born November 12, 1978, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. He and his family moved to New Jersey when he was about 14.
Doug was a good man who was always there to help anyone in need. He was the life of the party and always there to make anyone laugh. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Phillies. He was known for his bad jokes and goofy laugh, that will be greatly missed but forever cherished.
Doug is predeceased by his father James P. Haggerty and his brother Stephen Haggerty.
He will be forever loved and missed by his mother Carol A. Haggerty, his daughters Abigail E. Haggerty, Trista H. Haggerty and Karlee A Haggerty; sons Jason S. Haggerty and Douglass A. Haggerty Jr.; four grandchildren whom he adored Skylar, Jaheim, Remy and Aniyah. He is also survived by his brother's John, James, and Scott; and many dear friends who he considered family.
A Celebration of Doug's Life will he held 12 PM Monday, September 30 at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May. Family and friends may pay their respects from 11AM until the time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family would prefer donations be made to the Evoy Funeral Home to help defray expenses.
