James Lloyd Irwin, Jr., age 73, of Del Haven passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center of Philadelphia, PA. James was born September 14, 1941 in Washington DC; was formerly from Philadelphia, and has been a Cape May area resident since 1998. He is the son of the late James L and the late Jennie (Jennings) Irwin. James served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Bell Telephone of Philadelphia as a Switchman for 30 years and was an engraver at the Sign Shack in Philadelphia. James was a member of the American Legion, William D Oxley Post # 133 in Philadelphia for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and going to the beach. James was preceded in death by his sister Marsha Kfoury. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Santina (nee Caporale) Irwin; his sons: Rocco (Dianne) Cerrone, Joseph Cerrone, Gino Cerrone, & Thomas (Deborah) Cerrone; and his daughter Angela Cerrone. Also surviving are his 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and his niece Lisa (Frank) Dillinger. There will be a funeral service at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will be private.
