Obituary of Linda M. Menser

Linda Mae Menser, age 73, of North Cape May died Monday, September 29, 2014 in Atlantic City Hospital due to complications following spinal surgery with her son and daughter by her side. She was born in Allentown, PA to Mary Jane McAllister and Walter Bateman. She was preceded in death by her spouse John D. Menser in 2003 to whom she was happily married for 42 years. After raising their children in Telford, PA they retired to North Cape May, NJ in 2001. Linda was a devoted wife, a selfless, patient mother who offered true unconditional love, a dedicated caretaker to her own mother, and a proud grandmother. Her inner strength, courage, determination, and toughness were inspirational to all who knew her. She led her life with dignity and grace. She loved her family, was blessed with many wonderful friends, and enjoyed the beach, cooking, painting, stamping, gardening, trivia, the Phillies and a good glass of wine. She was a member of the Villas Fishing Club, Gardening by the Sea, and Town Bank Property Owners. She was a former member of Women's Community Club of Cape May and the Town Bank Red Hats. She leaves her daughter Linda Lewis and husband Rick; son Keith J Menser and wife Dawn; and grandchildren Max, Megan, Jared, Ariana, and Eliza. She also leaves sisters Bette Miller, Nancy Gaughan, and was preceded in death by sister Janie Poe.
