Bigenis, Joseph J. Sr, age 83 of N Cape May, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, April 20th, 2018. Born in Philadelphia to Michael and Barbara Bigenis, Joseph was a Philadelphia Police Officer from 1957-1981, and later worked at Harrah's Casino and Trump Plaza. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, loved fishing on his boat, loved Uncle Bill's Pancake House, and his trips to the casino's. He is predeceased by his children, William Bigenis, Janet Bigenis and Joseph Bigenis, Jr. Joseph is survived by his daughter Barbara "Candy" O'Hara (Dennis), grandchildren Adriana Bigenis, Amanda O'Hara and Dennis O'Hara, two great grandchildren (and one on the way), brothers Michael Bigenis (Mary), John Bigenis (Marie), sisters Mary Taran (Al) and Helen McGowan (Frank), three nieces, four nephews, and loving companion, Alice Ebert. Mass for Joseph will be held at 11am on Monday, April 30th at Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God Church, 680 Townbank Rd, Cape May, NJ; friends may call one hour prior to service from 10am – 11am. A burial will be held around 2:30pm following service at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Darby PA. In memory of Joseph's children, Janet and Joseph, who passed away from ALS, donations may be made to the ALS Association, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 37022, Boone, IA 50037-0022.
