Rita M Pelligrine, age 90, of Cape May passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at her home. Rita was born in Philadelphia, PA, summered here since 1974, and has been a Cape May resident since 1981. She is the daughter of the late Angelo and Maria (nee Gallo) Lemma. Rita was a member of St Bernard's RC Church of Philadelphia and of Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church of Cape May. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel T. Pelligrine on 11/28/2002. Rita is survived by one daughter: Linda (Leo) M Watt and two sons: Daniel (Mary) T Pelligrine, Jr. and Matthew F Pelligrine. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren: Leo M Watt, Jennifer Soria, Daniel Watt, Michael Watt, & Daniel Pelligrine; 6 great grandchildren; and her brother Anthony Lemma. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, Washington St, Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1056 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Rita's memory to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
