Joseph P Burke, age 81, of Villas passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at Victoria Manor in N. Cape May, Joseph was born in Philadelphia, PA. and summered in the Villas for many years before moving there permanently. He was a graduate of West Catholic Class of 1953 and served in the US Army. Joe had worked as a Postal Worker in Philadelphia. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan especially the Eagles and Notre Dame. He also enjoyed watching his grandson Ian play ice hockey. Joe also enjoyed music and loved to sing and relaxing having a few brews with his working buddies. Joe was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Feb. 21, 2017), parents John Burke and Mary McGough Burke, siblings: Nancy Bosco, Rita Mary Lynch, John Burke and Thomas Burke. He is survived by two sons; Paul (Denise) Burke and Patrick (Paula) McCabe; a daughter Patty Ann (Frank) Cacciola.;5 sibling; Kathryn Burke, Francis (Irene) Burke, Theresa (Robert) Henry, Noreen (Walter) Burke and Peter (Joan) Burke. Joe also leaves 8 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren. A joint Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Joseph and Patricia Burke at 11 AM on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at St. John Neumann Parish/ St. John of God Church, 680 Townbank Rd, N. Cape May. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday morning from 9 to 10:30 AM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cold Spring. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund, PO Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260. Condolences will be received at www.evoyfuneralhome.com
