Tracy Ann Shackleton, age 56, of West Cape May passed away Monday, January 16, 2017. Tracy was born February 15, 1960 in Columbus, OH to Fred & Carol (O'Neil) Shackleton. She graduated in 1978 from Lower Cape May Regional High School and from Cape May County Vocational Technical School with certification in Marine Biology. Tracy was immediately hired to work at Cape May Point State Park and remained there as a faithful employee. She was passionately devoted to the welfare of all animals and to the environment she loved so well for nearly 37 years – until declining health forced her retirement in January 2015. Tracy is survived by her mother Carol Shackleton, and her sisters: Cherri (John) Olsen and Julie (Richard) Redden. Also surviving are her deeply cherished nieces and nephews, whom she called "my kids": John (Erin) Olsen Jr.; Joy (Kaleb) Magnusson; Joshua (Kaitlyn) Olsen; Sarah (Michael Redden) Stewart; Jennah (William) Marmol; and her grandnieces & nephews: Marlee Reagan and Isabella Redden; Bjorn and Hazel Olsen; and Espen and Eilif Magnusson. Tracy is predeceased by her father Fred Shackleton (1993) and her grandnephew Eskil Magnusson (2014). At Tracy's request, burial will be private.
