Mario Orsi, "Red", age 94, of Erma, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle passed away peacefully Monday, October 26, 2015. Mario was born in Terni, Italy and at 3 months old came through Ellis Island with his family, moving to the Chambersburg area in Trenton, NJ. Mario served his country in the Army Air Corp during World War II and was stationed in England. An entrepreneur, he owned Mario's Pizza and Restaurant in Trenton. He moved to Wildwood, NJ in 1966 and opened Mario's Pizza on the Wildwood Boardwalk and became famous for his Sicilian Pizzas and the original Italian Twisters. Mario enjoyed watching baseball and the nightly news. He was a member of the Notre Dame De La Mer Parish in Wildwood. Mario liked people and always had a smile for everyone. He will be missed by many. To have known him is to have loved him. Mario leaves behind his son Daniel Orsi, his daughters: Carol Bergeron & Elaine Orsi, his grandson Marc Bergeron, and his nieces: Carmela Gerdes & Rose Lorenzo. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ada Orsi in 2009. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 30, 2015 at St Anne's RC Church, 2900 Atlantic Ave, Wildwood, NJ 08260. A viewing will be held from 8:15 to 9:15 AM on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204.
