Nancy Jeanne (Knarr) Mackay, age 89, of Barnegat passed away peacefully Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Seacrest Village Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Little Egg Harbor Twp, NJ. Jeanne was born December 11, 1925 in Mill Hall, PA. She is the daughter of the late George and the late Zella (Rummer) Romig. Jeanne was preceded in death by her first husband Robert J. Knarr of Mill Hall, PA and Cape Coral, FL; her second husband John Mackay of Monroe NJ; her sister Sara Cross; and her daughter Donna Jeanne Ketchum. Jeanne and Robert J. Knarr owned and operated Romig's Department Store in Mill Hall for many years. She is survived by her daughter: Barbara (Ron) Cannella of Barnegat, NJ; her son Robert J. Knarr, II of Erie, PA; seven grandchildren: Kristy, Tiffany, Robert III, Samuel, Robbie, Jessica, & Megan; six great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews; and her long time best friends: Patti & Junie Helt of Cape May, NJ. There will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 15, 2015 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 1024 Mackeyville Rd, Mill Hall, PA 17751.
