Charles F Burke, Jr., age 66, of North Cape May passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Charles was a wonderful husband, father, & brother. He was born November 9, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA; was formerly of Long Island, NY; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1976. He is the son of the late Charles F Burke Sr. and the late Mildred (nee Moroz) Burke. Charles served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War as a crew chief on a C-130 aircraft. He was a Commercial Fisherman for 43 years, a Captain, a net maker and net mender. Charles attended the Seashore Community Church of the Nazarene. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Charles is survived by his wife of 41 years: Irene (Warren) Burke; his two sons: Charles F Burke, III & Brian (Jolene) Burke; and his sister Bernadette Rivera. Also surviving is his grandson Evan. Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 14, 2015 and again from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home followed by interment at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. The family suggests donations in Charles' memory to the Seashore Community Church of the Nazarene, 446 Seashore Rd, Erma, NJ 08204.
