Francis J. Evangelisto passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at his home in Wildwood on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Francis was born in Philadelphia on January 4, 1944, to his parents, Joseph and Frances Evangelisto. He was raised in Philadelphia and graduated from South Philadelphia High School. Francis proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Francis enjoyed playing card games, shooting pool, and fixing things. He was someone who could always be counted on to figure out how to repair or fix just about anything. He also loved to travel throughout the United States, with some of his favorite destinations being Italy, St. Martin, Florida, Missouri, and Washington.

Francis was predeceased by his sons, Daniel Abruscato and Dennis Evangelisto, and his brothers, Biagio and Gil Evangelisto.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 52 years, Nancy; his three children, Donna Jackson(Christopher), Terri Rogers(Mark), and Linda Evangelisto; his grandchildren; Tyler, Collin, Carter, Christina, Jeffrey, Ashley, Daniel, and Anthony: His great-grandson Cameron. He is also survived by his brothers, Anthony and James Evangelisto, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Funeral services for Francis will be private at the convenience of the family.
