Robert E. Keefe, 56, of North Cape May, NJ, passed away on July 31st, 2026, surrounded by his family. Robert was a beloved husband to Christine, married in January 1994 and father to his daughters Nicole, Ashley and Son-in-law Drake. He was born to Arthur and Mary Keefe on June 8th, 1970, at Fort Dix, NJ, Military Base. Robert graduated from Wildwood Catholic High School in North Wildwood, NJ in 1988. After, he joined the police academy and became an officer at the North Wildwood Police Dept. until he made his career with the Cape May County Sheriff’s Department, rising to the rank of Corporal. He retired after 25 years of service within this department. After his retirement, he returned to the North Wildwood Police Dept. This time working in Building Maintenance, remaining in this position until his second retirement due to his illness in Spring of 2026. During and preceding this career, he worked with North Wildwood Rescue Squad and was a Volunteer Firefighter up until his passing. Robert lived a life of service to his community he loved so dearly. In his free time, Robert could be found walking the jetties or trails with Mom taking pictures of wildlife, tinkering in his carpentry shop, at his fishing spots or enjoying quality time with his family and friends.

Robert is survived by his Wife, Christine Keefe. Daughters, Nicole (Keefe) Plunkett and Ashley Keefe. Son-in-law, Drake Plunkett. His younger sister, Sonya Heard (and brother-in-law, Micheal). Robert was a beloved Uncle, Father Figure and Cousin to many others in his big family. Robert was predeceased by his father, Arthur Keefe and Mother, Mary Keefe.

The Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 7th at The North Wildwood Elks Lodge, 109 W. 1st Ave. North Wildwood, NJ. The family is receiving visitors from 12-1pm. The Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm. You are welcome to bring your memories to share. There will be a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to have donations made to The Anglesea Volunteer Fire Dept. (201 New Jersey Ave, North Wildwood, NJ 08260) or The Branches Outreach of Rio Grande (201 Hirst Ave, Rio Grande, NJ 08242).
