William "Bill" Kent Obituary
William “Bill” Kent, 95 passed away peacefully at his home in Villas New Jersey on May 15, 2026 shortly after celebrating his 95th birthday.
Born on May 3, 1931, the third child of the late Charles Kent and Margaret Kent (nee Rowbottom).
Bill served his country in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1956, earning both the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Medal. Following his military service, he returned to the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, where he lived and eventually managed Kent Distributors until his retirement.
Bill was a quiet, gentle man known for his steady nature and kind heart. He found joy in fishing, traveling and spending time with family. Above all he cherished every moment with his beloved wife, Marcie.
He was predeceased by his wife Marcie Kent and all of his siblings; Charles Kent, Eleanor Werner, Joan Purcell and Margaret Beswick.
Bill is survived by his stepchildren, grandchildren, and generations of nieces and nephews and his very close friend Judi Yoa all of whom will carry forward his memory. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
As per his wishes a private Celebration of Life will be planned in the future.
