Virginia C. Worby, 81, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-great-grandmother, went to be with God on May 18, 2026. Virginia was born on June 16, 1944, in Atlantic City, NJ to parents William and Dorothy Madler Bowden.

Virginia had the love of serving the Lord. She had the zest and joy of life for all living things and God's creations of the world and the people in it. She had a love for everything in life and she changed the world.

Virginia was predeceased by her husband Ronald D. Worby Sr. in 1998, her daughter Virginia C. Gavin Jr. (2006), her mother Dorothy Madler (2003) and her father William Bowden (1959).

She is survived by her sister, Martha Conover, along with her seven beloved children; Michael Worby, Sundie Willson, Ronald Worby, Michael Gavin, William Worby and Patricia Fazy, eight grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, two great-great-great-grandchildren, six nephews, and three nieces.

Friends and family will be received at 10 AM Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Evoy Funeral Home in North Cape May, NJ, 08204. A funeral service will be held at 11AM immediately following the viewing. Interment will be held on the grounds of Cold Spring Cemetery in Cape May, NJ.
